Based on feedback and our commitment to excellence, we have extended our IDC to a 10-day intensive program. This expanded schedule provides more dedicated time for academic practice and hands-on skill mastery, ensuring you are fully prepared for the PADI Instructor Exam.
2026 IDC & Exam Schedule
All Instructor Exams (IE) take place in beautiful Destin, FL. Our training is strategically scheduled to lead directly into the exam dates.

Prerequisites: Are You Ready to Go Pro?
Before enrolling in the Instructor Development Course (IDC), PADI requires candidates to meet specific safety and experience milestones. Ensuring you meet these requirements allows us to focus on teaching you how to teach, rather than focusing on basic dive skills.
To qualify for the IDC, you must:
- Certification Level: Be certified as a PADI Divemaster (or hold a leadership-level certification with another recognized recreational dive agency).
- Experience: Have at least 60 logged dives to start the course (Note: You will need 100 logged dives to attend the Instructor Exam).
- Medical Clearance: Have a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months confirming you are fit for diving.
- Emergency First Response: Be a certified EFR Primary and Secondary Care provider (or have qualifying CPR/First Aid training) within the last 24 months.
- Time as a Diver: Have been a certified diver for at least 1 Year.
- Age: Be at least 18 years old at the start of the program.
Pro Tip: If you are short on logged dives or need to refresh your EFR certification, contact us! We can help you build your logbook and get your prerequisites updated before the May, August, or October sessions begin.
